DELIVERY & RETURNS POLICY

This policy applies to all products sold under Austics, a brand of Ngasolinye (Pty) Ltd, including products from our Diagnostics Division and Couture Division.

1. ABOUT US

AUSTICS is a South African medical technology and apparel brand operating under Ngasolinye (Pty) Ltd.
Our product portfolio includes:

  • Diagnostics Division – medical diagnostic devices and accessories (including stethoscopes)
  • Couture Division – medical scrubs and professional healthcare apparel

We are committed to delivering high-quality products efficiently and in compliance with applicable consumer and medical product standards.

2. DELIVERY POLICY

2.1 Order Processing:

 

  • Orders are processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation.
  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
  • Orders are only shipped once full payment has been received.

 

2.2 Delivery Method:

 

  • All deliveries within South Africa are fulfilled using Fastway Couriers
  • Delivery is door-to-door to the address provided at checkout.

 

2.3 Delivery Timeframes:

 

Estimated delivery times (excluding order processing):

Location:

Major cities and metros (Estimated Delivery Time 2-5 business days)

Outlying / regional areas (Estimated Delivery Time 3–7 business days)

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by factors outside our control, including courier delays, weather conditions, or public holidays.

 

2.4 Delivery Fees:

 

  • Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size.
  • Promotional or free shipping offers may apply from time to time and will be clearly indicated.

 

2.5 Order Tracking:

 

  • Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a Fastway tracking number via email or SMS.
  • Customers are responsible for monitoring delivery progress using the tracking details provided.

 

2.6 Failed or Delayed Deliveries:

 

  • If delivery cannot be completed due to an incorrect address or unavailability of the recipient, Fastway may attempt re-delivery or return the parcel.
  • Additional delivery charges may apply for re-dispatch.
  • Austics is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect delivery information provided by the customer.

3. RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY

Due to the nature of medical devices and healthcare apparel, returns are handled carefully and in line with South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) guidelines.

 

3.1 Returns - Diagnostics Division (Medical Devices):

 

Products such as stethoscopes and diagnostic equipment may be returned only if:

  • The product is faulty or defective
  • The product is incorrectly supplied
  • The product is unused, unopened, and in its original sealed packaging

⚠️ For hygiene and safety reasons, we do not accept returns on diagnostic products that have been used, worn, or opened, unless they are proven to be defective.

 

Returns - Couture Division (Scrubs & Apparel):

 

Scrubs may be returned within 7 days of delivery provided that:

  • The item is unworn, unwashed, and unused
  • All original tags and packaging are intact
  • Proof of purchase is supplied

Scrubs that show signs of wear, washing, alterations, or damage will not be accepted.

 

3.3 Non- Returnable Items:

 

The following items are non-refundable unless faulty:

  • Used or opened diagnostic equipment
  • Customized or special-order items
  • Clearance or promotional items (unless defective)

 

3.4 Return Process:

 

To initiate a return:

1. Email info@austics.co.za with: 

  • Order number

  • Product details

  • Reason for return

  • Photos (where applicable)

2. Our team will review and provide return instructions.

3. Items must be returned within 7 days of return approval.

Returns sent without prior approval may be rejected.

 

3.5 Return Shipping Costs:

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unlessthe item is faulty or incorrectly supplied.​​​​​​​

4. REFUNDS

  • Once a returned item is received and inspected, refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
  • Original delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part.

5. EXCHANGES

  • Exchanges are available for scrubs sizing issues, subject to stock availability.
  • Exchanges for diagnostic devices are not offered unless the item is defective.

6. DAMAGED OR FAULTY ITEMS

If you receive a damaged or faulty item:

  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide clear photos and a description of the issue
  • Do not use the product before reporting the issue

Failure to report damage within this period may affect eligibility for replacement or refund.
